Fox News Media is currently seeking a skilled and resourceful Line Producer to join the Fox & Friends team. This is a full-time position with shifts running Sunday night through Friday morning, specifically from 11:30 PM ET to 7:30 AM ET. The Line Producer will play a critical role in translating the editorial vision of the show into a well-organized rundown and overseeing the segment's live production on air. Responsibilities include building the rundown, making real-time timing decisions, copy-editing segments, producing opens and teases, and maintaining direct communication with anchors and executives. The ideal candidate must be assertive, detail-oriented, and a natural self-starter with outstanding judgment and organizational skills. Creativity in crafting teases and scripts is highly valued, and the ability to communicate effectively with producers, directors, and on-air talent is essential. The role demands exceptional adaptability as last-minute changes and breaking news can require prompt, decisive action while maintaining composure.
The Line Producer will participate actively in editorial meetings, pitching stories and segment ideas, and will build and time the show rundown for one to two hours daily. Additional duties include signing off on preproduced segments, answering anchor queries on the fly, guiding the technical crew during live broadcasts, and ensuring visuals support the on-air conversation. Managing your time efficiently, prioritizing, and delegating tasks are key components of this role. This position offers a competitive annual salary range from $83,000 to $110,000, depending on education, skills, experience, and location. Job Duties
- participate in editorial meetings, pitch stories, and segment ideas
- build, time, and execute the show rundown for 1-2 hours each day
- sign off on preproduced guest segments including scripts, banners, graphics, video, call for elements, and packets
- answer anchor questions about segments on the fly
- guide the technical crew through each element during the show
- keep the anchor on time using clear and effective cues
- monitor the aesthetics of the screen to make sure visuals support the conversation
- effectively manage own time and attention
- prioritize and delegate tasks when necessary
