Job Requirements
- At least 21 years of age
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1-2 years of food service or hospitality industry experience preferred
- basic math skills required
- excellent communication skills in English
- bilingual Spanish a plus
- ability to manage stress and perform in a high-volume environment
- strong problem-solving skills
- ability to work under time constraints and prioritize multiple work responsibilities
- ability to uphold and manage standards, procedures and processes
- ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment
- ability to consistently maintain a clean and professional appearance and demeanor
- physically capable of standing and moving for extended periods

Job Duties
- Apply thorough knowledge, understanding and application of culinary techniques to consistently execute menu items
- monitor all meals being served for appearance, quality standards, portion control and temperature standards in accordance with established policies and procedures
- ensure all stations are properly set prior to service and maintain sufficient supply of high-quality mis-en-place for the next shift
- support a culture of safety by upholding safety standards and reporting injuries promptly
- assist the Chef and Sous Chef in controlling food and labor costs, purchasing, receiving, purveyor lists and inventory of kitchen items
- ensure meal and rest breaks are available to team members and accurately record break times
- assist in establishing proper par levels and conduct inventories to assure adequate stock
- properly label, date, rotate and store products to ensure food handling and sanitation compliance
- keep production and merchandising areas clean, safe and presentable
- effectively communicate with management and assist with guest and team member needs
- utilize point-of-sale system to accurately enter guest information and orders
- bag orders neatly preserving food quality and presentation
- set the tone for the shift and take responsibility for shift results
- secure the building at closing and perform other job-related duties as necessary
