Job Requirements

  • at least 21 years of age
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-2 years of food service or hospitality experience preferred

Job Duties

  • apply thorough knowledge, understanding and application of culinary techniques to consistently execute menu items
  • monitor all meals being served for appearance, quality standards, portion control and temperature standards in accordance with the established policies and procedures
  • ensure all stations are properly set prior to service and ensure sufficient supply of high-quality mis-en-place is set for the next shift
  • support a culture of safety by upholding safety standards and reporting injuries on time
  • assist the Chef and Sous Chef in controlling food and labor costs including purchasing, receiving and inventory
  • ensure meal and rest breaks are available and accurately recorded
  • assist in establishing par levels of finished products and ingredients and conduct inventories
  • properly label, date, rotate and store all products to ensure food handling and sanitation compliance
  • maintain a clean, safe and presentable production and merchandising area
  • communicate effectively with management, guests and team members to address needs and inquiries
  • utilize the POS system to accurately enter guest and take-out orders
  • efficiently bag orders preserving item integrity
  • set the tone for the shift and assume responsibility for results
  • secure the building at closing by locking doors, safe and setting the alarm
  • perform other job-related duties as necessary
