Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable
  • Proven culinary experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings, especially in fine dining or catering environments
  • Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
  • Knowledge of food handling procedures, food safety standards, and sanitation practices
  • Experience with menu planning, food service operations, and catering is a plus
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes, menus, and dietary guidelines, ensuring consistency and quality
  • Assist with menu planning by contributing ideas that meet nutritional needs and resident preferences
  • Handle food with care, following strict food safety and sanitation standards to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Support meal service by plating dishes attractively and serving residents with professionalism and kindness
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness by cleaning workstations, utensils, equipment, and storage areas regularly
  • Assist with inventory management by monitoring supplies, rotating stock, and notifying supervisors of low inventory levels
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy meal times
