Job Description

Our facility is a specialized youth residential program dedicated to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for young residents. We focus on not only their safety and well-being but also on creating a community where each resident can thrive. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality care across all aspects of daily life, including nutritional support. As part of our comprehensive care approach, our culinary team plays a critical role in shaping the health and happiness of our residents by preparing nourishing and delicious meals that meet their specific dietary needs and preferences. We maintain a dynamic, fast-paced kitchen environment that balances efficiency with care, ensuring all food served supports the well-being of our youth in residence.

Join our team as a Line Cook/Prep Cook, where you will have the opportunity to contribute your culinary skills in a meaningful way. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals based on established recipes and dietary guidelines tailored for youth with special nutritional requirements. The position involves careful food handling and safety practices to maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment. Beyond cooking, you will assist with menu planning, bring creativity to meal preparation, and support meal service by plating and serving food with professionalism and kindness. This role requires close collaboration with kitchen staff to manage inventory, uphold sanitation standards, and facilitate smooth kitchen operations during peak hours.

This paid position, with a competitive hourly wage of $22.00 to $23.00, offers an excellent opportunity for culinary professionals to develop their expertise in a rewarding setting where the impact of your work is clearly visible. Working in-person at our facility, you will find a welcoming atmosphere that encourages growth, teamwork, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of our residents.
