The roles we are seeking to fill include Banquet Cooks, Lounge Cooks, and Prep Cooks, each with unique responsibilities but united by a shared dedication to culinary excellence. The Banquet Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food for large events, following banquet event orders and recipes precisely to ensure consistency and quality. This role demands excellent organizational skills to set up cooking stations and coordinate with kitchen staff to deliver meals on time, while adhering strictly to food safety protocols. The Lounge Cook focuses on preparing menu items for lounge and bar guests, specializing in made-to-order appetizers and entrees, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, inventory monitoring, and efficient operation during peak hours. Prep Cooks provide essential support by preparing ingredients, sauces, and other components needed for daily kitchen operations; maintaining an orderly prep area; and assisting other cooks as needed. All cooks are expected to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and teamwork. To qualify for these positions, candidates must possess a valid Food Handler Certification, demonstrate reliable attendance, have strong communication skills, and be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical stamina is necessary as the job requires standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds. Job Duties

  • prepare and cook food for banquets, weddings, conferences, and special events
  • follow banquet event orders (beos) and recipes to ensure consistency
  • set up and stock banquet cooking stations before events
  • prepare food in large quantities while maintaining quality and presentation
  • coordinate with banquet chefs and servers to ensure meals are served on schedule
  • monitor food temperatures and comply with all food safety regulations
  • clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas after events
  • assist with inventory and proper food storage
  • prepare menu items for lounge and bar guests according to recipes and quality standards
  • cook made-to-order appetizers, entrees, and specialty menu items
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen throughout each shift
  • ensure food is prepared and presented consistently
  • monitor inventory and communicate shortages to management
  • follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
  • work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining food quality
  • prepare ingredients for daily kitchen operations, including washing, chopping, slicing, and portioning
  • prepare sauces, dressings, soups, and other items according to recipes
  • label, date, and properly store all prepared food items
  • stock kitchen stations with ingredients and supplies
  • maintain a clean and organized prep area
  • assist cooks with food preparation during busy service times as needed
  • maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • follow all health department regulations and food safety standards
  • wear proper kitchen attire and personal protective equipment as required
  • work collaboratively with kitchen staff and management

  • perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or Kitchen Manager
