Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Availability to work Friday through Sunday and some holidays
  • Ability to stand for long periods

Job Qualifications

  • At least two years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking
  • Good English communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in a fast-paced high-volume kitchen environment
  • Experience working in a scratch kitchen
  • Leadership skills to guide and motivate a team
  • Knowledge of standard barbecue cooking methods

Job Duties

  • Create mouth-watering barbecue dishes from scratch, following recipes to produce consistent high-quality results
  • Master and adhere to standard barbecue cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen practices
  • Smoke a variety of meats including pork, beef, chicken, and ribs using traditional hardwood smokers
  • Cook other menu items using flat-top grill and fryers
  • Portion products accurately, follow recipes precisely, and ensure plate presentation showcases the authenticity of the barbecue
  • Maintain clean and organized workstation, adhere to sanitization standards, and follow food handling guidelines to ensure safety and hygiene
  • Lead a team to consistently produce excellent results
