As part of the Bobby Jones Links family, Woodlake Country Club in Vass, North Carolina, offers a unique and welcoming environment. Woodlake Country Club is a gated community rich in amenities and stunning natural scenery, including a private 1,200-acre lake, a historic clubhouse, and two championship golf courses. Its location near Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Fort Bragg, Pope Air Force Base, and Fayetteville allows residents and visitors to enjoy a balance between vibrant nearby cities and the tranquility of this peaceful retreat. For over five decades, Woodlake has been a cherished destination in the North Carolina Sandhills.
The club is currently seeking skilled Line Cooks to join their culinary team. This role is essential in maintaining the high standard of food preparation and service that Woodlake Country Club is known for. Responsibilities for the Line Cook include operating cooking equipment like grills, griddles, and fryers; preparing and cooking food accurately and efficiently as directed; ensuring quality and portion control of meals; plating food presentations according to the senior chef’s guidance; and collaborating closely with serving staff to fulfill orders promptly and to specification. The Line Cook is also responsible for strictly adhering to food handling and safety regulations throughout kitchen operations.
Candidates who thrive in this role will demonstrate strong multitasking capabilities, teamwork, and the ability to execute tasks with both accuracy and speed. Prior completion of food safety coursework is preferred, underscoring the importance of maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment. The position demands physical stamina including the ability to walk, stand, bend, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, and work in a kitchen environment that can be warm and noisy near cooking equipment. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience working as a line cook or in a similar culinary role preferred
- ability to operate cooking equipment such as grills, griddles, and fryers
- knowledge of food handling and safety regulations
- physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- capacity to work in a fast-paced and warm kitchen environment
- excellent teamwork and communication skills

Job Duties
