The Line Cook position at Puttshack is a critical role responsible for preparing, producing, plating, and garnishing all menu items with precision and care to meet the Executive Chef's exacting standards. This role requires a culinary professional who thrives in a high-volume kitchen environment and is passionate about food quality and presentation. The successful candidate will be expected to efficiently set up their station, maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards, and work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure seamless kitchen operations. This position offers a variable schedule, typically ranging between 15 and 30 hours per week, accommodating business needs and individual availability, with shift times generally between 11am and 1am.

The role also involves additional responsibilities like side-work, opening and closing duties, and compliance with company policies as outlined in the Associate Handbook.

Job Requirements
- Must be 18 or older
- prior experience in high volume restaurant kitchen
- ability to operate, clean, and maintain kitchen tools and appliances
- must obtain any required state or local licenses or certifications
- ability to communicate effectively
- ability to multitask in a busy environment
- ability to stand and walk for entire shift
- ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- able to work in confined and noisy spaces with varying temperatures
Job Qualifications
- Prior experience in high volume restaurant kitchen
- ability to communicate effectively to perform job requirements safely and efficiently
- ability to multitask calmly and effectively in busy environment
- knowledge of food safety and allergy procedures
- proficiency in operating and maintaining kitchen tools and appliances
Job Duties
- Prepare, produce, plate, and garnish all menu items according to recipes and special requests
- set up station and maintain sanitation standards
- follow portioning controls and par levels
- communicate food delays or issues to culinary leadership
- understand and follow food allergy procedures and special orders
- comply with safety and sanitation guidelines including MSDS
- perform side work, opening, and closing duties
- work collaboratively as a team player
