Job Description
Cooper's Hawk is a distinguished winery and restaurant group that combines the elegance of Napa Valley-inspired wines with exceptional dining experiences. Founded in 2005, Cooper's Hawk operates full-service restaurants, bars, and private event spaces designed to offer a modern-yet-casual ambiance where guests can enjoy meticulously crafted scratch-kitchen menu items, each tailored to perfectly complement their award-winning wines. The brand is widely recognized for its expansive Wine Club, one of the largest in the world, featuring exclusive membership benefits such as curated dining, travel experiences, and access to limited-edition wines. With a passion for creating unforgettable moments, Cooper's Hawk has also expanded its culinary footprint with Piccolo Buco by Cooper's Hawk, which highlights the vibrant flavors of Rome, bringing Italian culinary culture to their guests along with the Napa Valley tradition. Cooper's Hawk is dedicated to fostering a lifestyle brand that blends superior culinary offerings with a unique wine experience, emphasizing quality and connection at its core.
The role of Line Cook at Cooper's Hawk is much more than simply following recipes; it is about crafting memorable experiences one plate at a time. This position is crucial in maintaining the brand's high standards for food quality, presentation, and timely service. A Line Cook here brings precision, urgency, and pride into every dish, ensuring that every meal served has the potential to create a lasting impression. You will work in a fast-paced, dynamic kitchen environment, utilizing your culinary skills to set up and manage your station efficiently, adhere to recipe specifications, and control portions while multitasking several dishes with the assistance of a Kitchen Display System (KDS). This role requires strong communication and teamwork as you coordinate with your fellow team members to manage the flow of service, keep areas clean, stocked, and safe, and take ownership of your station.
Cooper's Hawk offers a supportive workplace with a variety of benefits designed to promote well-being and career growth. These include a 50 percent discount on dining and carryout, a 40 percent discount on retail wine purchases, and a 20 percent discount on retail and private events. Employees are invited to monthly wine tastings for two and have access to medical, dental, vision, and telehealth services. The company provides a 401(k) plan with a company match, paid time off, flexible scheduling, early pay access, and wellness and mental health support. Furthermore, team members benefit from wine and culinary education opportunities, career growth plans, rewards programs, milestone recognition, and referral bonuses. Cooper's Hawk values diversity, equity, and inclusion, and offers reasonable accommodations throughout the hiring process. With a team-first attitude and a commitment to exceptional food, working at Cooper's Hawk is an opportunity to grow within a vibrant community that celebrates culinary artistry and hospitality excellence.
