Job Description
Cooper's Hawk is a renowned lifestyle brand that uniquely combines a Napa-style tasting room with wine-inspired retail offerings alongside a full-service restaurant, bar, and private event spaces. Since its founding in 2005, Cooper's Hawk has mastered the art of delivering a modern yet casual dining experience that harmoniously pairs each scratch-kitchen menu item with its award-winning wines. The brand is celebrated for its extensive Wine Club, one of the largest in the world, which provides members with exclusive access to curated dining, travel experiences, and other unique benefits. Recently, the company expanded its portfolio by introducing Piccolo Buco by Cooper’s Hawk, bringing the vibrant and authentic flavors of Rome to its clientele. Cooper's Hawk has established itself as a leader in the industry by creating not just a dining destination but a complete lifestyle brand that offers exceptional experiences for wine lovers and food enthusiasts alike.
The Line Cook role at Cooper's Hawk is far more than simply following recipes; it is about crafting unforgettable culinary experiences. This position requires a blend of precision, urgency, and pride, allowing each Line Cook to help maintain the brand’s high standards and contribute to creating memorable moments for every guest. The role demands culinary skill coupled with a genuine connection to the craft, where every plate prepared is an opportunity to leave a lasting impression. As part of the kitchen team, the Line Cook is expected to be prepared, organized, and efficient throughout each shift, expertly using the Kitchen Display System (KDS) to manage cook times, multitask effectively, and ensure flawless presentation. Beyond technical skills, the position values teamwork, communication, and a passion for delivering high-quality food and service.
Line Cooks at Cooper's Hawk are entrusted with maintaining a clean, stocked, and safe workspace, stepping in to support fellow kitchen staff whenever necessary to keep the entire kitchen running smoothly. The role encourages taking ownership of one’s work area and performance, fostering an environment where staff communicate clearly, work as a cohesive unit, and time dishes perfectly to keep service flowing seamlessly. The position also highlights the importance of adding personal touches—taking pride in each plate and going beyond expectations to add the little details that elevate the dining experience.
In addition to a dynamic work environment, Cooper's Hawk offers an impressive variety of benefits to support the well-being and growth of its team members. Employees enjoy substantial discounts on dining, carryout, and retail wine, alongside monthly wine tastings for two, giving them insider access to the brand’s celebrated wines. The company also offers comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and telehealth benefits, a 401k plan with company match, paid time off, flexible scheduling, early pay access, wellness and mental health support, and continuing education in wine and culinary arts. Career development is fostered through a clear growth flight plan, and employees are recognized through rewards, milestone recognitions, and referral bonuses. Cooper's Hawk prides itself on being an equal opportunity employer, committed to inclusion and offering reasonable accommodations throughout the employment process.
Overall, the Line Cook position at Cooper's Hawk is an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals who aspire to be part of a forward-thinking, experience-driven brand. It combines the artistry of cooking with the science of hospitality, all within the supportive environment of a respected lifestyle brand that prioritizes quality, connection, and career growth.
