The company is committed to creating not only a great place for seniors to reside but also an exceptional work environment for its associates. Kisco Senior Living operates various senior communities that provide compassionate care and vibrant living experiences to their residents. As part of this legacy, The Cardinal at North Hills stands as one of their premier communities, where a strong emphasis is placed on quality service, safety, and innovation in senior care living and services.
The Cardinal at North Hills is currently seeking dedicated and skilled Cooks to join their culinary team. This is a full-time position with a schedule of 12pm to 8:30pm, including weekend rotations. The role is pivotal in delivering exceptional dining experiences to residents, guests, and associates by preparing high-quality, flavorful meals across multiple dining venues within the community. The compensation offered is competitive, with an hourly pay range of $19 to $20, reflecting the importance of the position and the expertise required.
In this role, cooks are responsible for producing creatively designed cuisine with attention to the menu, production sheets, and recipes to ensure consistency and quality. The position demands adherence to the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness within the kitchen environment, which are critical factors in maintaining the community's health and wellness standards. Cooks also contribute to operational efficiency by delivering invoices promptly to the Dining Services Director and maintaining accurate records of meals served and supplies used.
Successful candidates typically have experience working with grilling, frying, and sautéing techniques, all of which are essential to meet the diverse culinary demands of the community. This role offers a rewarding opportunity for culinary professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional food service in a senior living setting that values continuous training and growth opportunities. Additionally, the benefits package is comprehensive and tailored to support full-time employees, including paid vacation, sick time, seven paid holidays, excellent medical, dental, and vision benefits, a 401K plan with matching contributions, and a free meal with each shift.
The position at The Cardinal at North Hills also embodies Kisco Senior Living's culture of inclusivity and dedication to quality, making it an excellent career opportunity for individuals seeking to grow within a respected organization. The company prioritizes associates' well-being with robust benefits and a safe and supportive workplace. Prospective employees should note that all offers of employment are contingent upon successfully completing the company’s pre-employment process, which includes drug screening, a job-specific physical, a TB test, and a background check, all covered at the company's expense. Kisco Senior Living is an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to diversity and inclusion in its hiring practices.
