The Full Time Line Cook position at Monkey Bar offers an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals passionate about delivering high-quality, consistent dining experiences. This role involves both AM (Lunch) and PM (Dinner) shifts, providing flexibility and variety for team members. As a Full Time Line Cook, you will be responsible for setting up and stocking your station with all necessary supplies while maintaining proper inventory control. Cooking and preparing menu items in collaboration with kitchen staff according to the Hogsalt Recipe Index is vital to ensuring food quality and timely service. Communication plays a key role in this position; understanding call-backs of menu items and maintaining clear dialogue during service is essential to smooth operations. You will work closely with Sous Chefs, Executive Chefs, and other leadership, following their directions to meet the high standards expected in the kitchen.

In addition to culinary skills, this role demands a commitment to cleanliness and food safety. Properly cleaning and breaking down your station at the end of each service, adhering to food handling and storage standards, and ensuring kitchen hygiene comply with safety regulations are integral responsibilities. Job Requirements

  • Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift, including frequent bending, lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds, and stooping
  • Ability to remain positive and productive in a potentially hot or cold work environment

Job Qualifications

  • 1 year of cooking experience in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant
  • Passion for excellence, superior service standards, and a positive attitude

Job Duties

  • Set up and stock station with all necessary supplies, ensuring proper inventory control
  • Cook and prepare menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff according to the Hogsalt Recipe Index, ensuring food quality and time standards are always met
  • Maintain a high level of communication, understand the verbiage for call backs of menu items, and keep lines of dialogue open and relevant to service
  • Answer, report to, and follow instructions and direction from Sous Chef, Executive Chef, or other leadership
  • Properly clean and break down station at the end of service, ensuring all food handling and food storage standards are met
  • Ensure that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations at all times
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers, leadership, vendors, and guests
