At Bally's Lincoln Casino Resort, the culinary team plays a critical role in creating memorable experiences for guests by providing delicious food crafted with attention to quality and presentation. We are currently seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. This position is an hourly role with a target salary of 18 dollars per hour, ideal for individuals who thrive in a bustling kitchen environment. The Kitchen Assistant will be integral to supporting the chefs by preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring that the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently. This role involves preparing all food items as directed while following strict sanitary guidelines and timing requirements.

The Kitchen Assistant is expected to prepare the kitchen before the arrival of the chefs, engage in cleaning both before and after food service, and handle ingredient preparation such as cleaning and chopping vegetables. Proper stock inventory management is also a key responsibility, ensuring that the kitchen is fully equipped and organized for service. Cooking tasks will be performed under the supervision of the chefs, providing an excellent learning environment for aspiring culinary professionals.

Additionally, the Kitchen Assistant is encouraged to contribute creatively by offering suggestions for new dishes and menu ideas, which fosters innovation and continuous improvement in our offerings. Supporting the training of new kitchen staff is another important duty, helping to maintain a cohesive and skilled team.

The working conditions in this role may include exposure to noise, smoke, and various odors common in kitchen settings. Job Duties

  • Preparing all the food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
  • Preparing the kitchen before the arrival of the chefs

  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Cooking dishes under the supervision of the chef
