The Line Cook position within the Culinary Department is an essential role that supports the nightly operations of the club's kitchen. This full-time role offers flexible scheduling options for those interested in part-time work. In this role, the Line Cook will be responsible for setting up their station in accordance with restaurant guidelines, preparing all food items with precision and care, and adhering strictly to recipes and portion controls. They will restock supplies as necessary throughout their shift to ensure a smooth service flow. Maintaining a clean and organized workstation by following safety and sanitation protocols is critical. The Line Cook must also possess the knowledge to operate and maintain all kitchen equipment properly.

Additionally, this position requires collaboration with the team to maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, walk-in coolers, and storage areas. The Line Cook will assist with any additional tasks assigned by the Executive Chef or Sous Chefs, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to their duties. As a member-facing position, strong communication in English is essential, along with the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure. This role demands physical stamina to stand for the entire shift and handle occasional lifting of heavy items, contributing to a seamless dining experience for members.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 1 year of scratch-volume cooking experience
  • knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • able to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • physically able to stand for entire shift and lift up to 50 pounds
  • willingness to undergo illegal drug testing as condition of employment

Job Qualifications

  • Adept understanding of professional cooking and pizza making
  • understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
  • 1+ year scratch-volume cooking experience
  • English language and professional communication skills
  • ability to work in a team environment

  • able to transport up to 50 pounds occasionally and 35 pounds regularly

Job Duties

  • Sets up station according to restaurant guidelines
  • prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
  • follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant
  • restocks all items as needed throughout the shift
  • cleans and maintains station practicing good safety, sanitation, and organizational skills
  • properly uses and maintains all equipment in the station
  • assists with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and storage areas
  • performs additional responsibilities as requested by Chef or Sous Chefs
