We are currently seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our talented kitchen team at The Juicy Crab. This role is pivotal in maintaining the restaurant's high standards by preparing meals in accordance with our standard recipes and specifications. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for setting up the prep station, stocking inventory, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen, and supporting the kitchen staff in cooking menu items. The position offers both full-time and part-time employment opportunities, providing flexibility for those with varying schedules. Compensation for this role starts at $14.00 per hour.
The ideal candidate will have previous restaurant or kitchen experience in cooking roles such as Chef, Cook, Line Cook, Fry Cook, Preparation Staff, or other kitchen staff positions. Excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask efficiently, and a cooperative team spirit are essential to succeed in this fast-paced environment. Job Duties
- Ensuring the preparation station and the kitchen are set up and stocked
- Preparing simple components of each dish on the menu by chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces
- Reporting to the Kitchen Manager and following instructions
- Making sure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards
- Cleaning prep areas and taking care of leftovers
- Stocking inventory and supplies
- Cooking menu items with the support of the kitchen staff
