Landscapes Golf Management and Ashland Golf Club are proud to offer a fulfilling part-time Line Cook position within our Food and Beverage team. The Line Cook position is integral to ensuring the culinary success of Ashland Golf Club’s Food & Beverage section. This role involves preparing food in strict accordance with company recipes and health code standards, ensuring every dish served meets the highest standards of quality, portion control, and presentation. Candidates will be responsible for handling daily prep duties, food production, proper storage, and rotation of products, and assisting in menu development. Maintaining a clean, safe kitchen and adhering to health regulations are critical aspects of this role. Additional responsibilities include washing dishes and kitchenware, maintaining stock levels for efficient service, assisting with inventory, and following proper kitchen closing procedures.
This position requires excellent communication and culinary skills combined with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate should be service- and solution-oriented, displaying a positive attitude towards staff, club members, and guests alike. They will demonstrate commitment to the club’s success by abiding by all company policies and attending relevant meetings. Regular, punctual attendance for all scheduled shifts is mandatory.

Job Requirements
- high school diploma or ged preferred
- previous experience in food preparation and cooking preferred
- certified food handler (rserving or local certification)
- ability to deliver a high level of customer service
- good oral communication skills
- basic culinary skills and knowledge
- understanding of safe food handling procedures and process
- able to direct and maintain a safe and secure environment and operation

Job Duties
- promotes, works and acts in a manner consistent with the values of lgm
- handles daily prep duties and food production
- ensures food is prepared per company standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, policies and procedures
- handles, stores and rotates all products properly
- follows proper plating and garnish presentations for all dishes
- assists with the development and creation of menu items
- maintains the cleanliness of the kitchen area and ensures that it meets health code regulations
- washes dishes, silverware, drinkware and kitchen cookware
- maintains kitchen stock at line stations to ensure efficient kitchen service
- checks in stock orders delivered by vendors and assists with inventory ordering
- closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations
- adheres to club dress code policy
- attends and participates in all employee meetings
- demonstrates a commitment to the work and success of the club and the company by being service- and solution-oriented, having positive interactions with all club staff and members/guests, and meeting established quality, service and safety expectations
- performs additional assignments per the direction of club or company managers
- regular and punctual attendance on site for all scheduled shifts is required
