Job Description

Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews is a well-established full-service restaurant known for its laid-back atmosphere, unique vibe, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. Unlike typical burger restaurants, Red Robin prides itself on fostering a culture filled with unbridled energy, magnetic personalities, and a passion for fun. This restaurant concept is not only focused on serving burgers beyond the ordinary but also driven by values of connection, generosity, and a welcoming spirit that embraces both similarities and differences among its guests and team members. Red Robin's mission revolves around four central tenets: make it fresh, make it fun, make it memorable, and above all, make 'em smile. Over the years, Red Robin has built a reputation for its world-famous steak fries and quality menu offerings that prioritize fresh ingredients and great flavors.

The company operates numerous locations and is recognized for its high-volume, full-service model that offers significant opportunities for career growth within the organization. Many of the restaurant's leaders began their journeys as hourly team members, reflecting Red Robin’s dedication to promoting from within and nurturing talent. The work culture is inclusive and supportive, making Red Robin a great place to start or grow a career in the restaurant and hospitality industry.

The role of Line Cook at Red Robin is a key position in the kitchen and an essential part of the team’s commitment to delivering delicious food prepared "the Red Robin way." The wages for this role range from $16.46 to $19.84 per hour, reflecting the skill level and dedication required. Part-time and full-time shifts with flexible scheduling options make this position appealing to many candidates, including those balancing other commitments.

As a Line Cook, your primary responsibility is to prepare menu items by cutting, sautéing, broiling, frying, and cooking various dishes, including meats, fish, poultry, vegetables, soups, salads, and other ingredients. Maintaining a safe and clean cooking environment is fundamental, as you will uphold strict food handling and cleanliness standards to ensure guests experience worry-free dining. The role is hands-on and fast-paced, requiring strong attention to detail, time management, and teamwork.

In addition to the competitive base pay, Line Cooks enjoy a range of benefits including a free meal during each shift, discounted food for themselves and family members, and referral bonuses for adding new team members. The company offers an employee stock purchase program for those with more than one year of service and working 20 or more hours per week. Other benefits include comprehensive health coverage options (health, dental, vision, accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity), a 401k retirement plan with a company match, and paid time off for eligible employees. Red Robin continuously accepts applications, making this a readily available opportunity to join a dynamic team with room for advancement.

Red Robin’s welcoming environment encourages individuals who share a passion for hospitality, teamwork, and positive energy to apply. The company values diversity and inclusivity, recognizing that its unique team members are what make the dining experience memorable for its guests.
