River Hall Country Club is an exclusive, beautifully planned gated community nestled around the stunning Davis Love III-designed championship golf course. The club is currently seeking passionate, dependable, and team-oriented Line Cooks to join their dynamic culinary team. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $22 to $24, based on experience, alongside flexible scheduling and a comprehensive benefits package. As a Line Cook at River Hall Country Club, you will engage in preparing food to high standards under the direction of the Executive Chef or General Manager. Your role involves cooking to order in a timely manner while ensuring consistency in preparation, portion control, and presentation based on standardized recipe cards. Maintaining cost control and excellence in product quality are essential components of this position.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as cook
  • Ability to use cutting tools and cookware
  • Knowledge of cooking methods including grilling, baking and boiling
  • Ability to follow sanitation procedures
  • Ability to work in fast-paced and team-oriented environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Physical stamina to perform kitchen duties including lifting up to 40 lbs
  • Maintain Food Handlers or Managers Certificate

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as cook
  • Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware
  • Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods such as grilling, baking, and boiling
  • Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Very good communication skills
  • Excellent physical condition and stamina
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Diploma from a culinary school is an advantage

Job Duties

  • Comply with written standardized food recipes and beverages to ensure consistent quality and portion control
  • Receive and check food and supplies into the kitchen and storerooms by inspecting condition, invoices, and freshness
  • Store new and reused products in proper temperatures and proper wrappings
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all kitchen areas as instructed
  • Complete opening and closing checklists as outlined by the Chef or General Manager
  • Protect the assets of the club by adhering to guidelines, policies, and standards
  • Assist with other duties as needed
