The current opportunity is for a Line Cook position based at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center in Norwood, Massachusetts. This hotel is an integral part of the Hobbs Brook Real Estate portfolio and offers a dynamic hospitality environment bolstered by strong organizational support. The Four Points by Sheraton Norwood features 230 contemporary, smoke-free guestrooms, including options designed for allergy-sensitive guests. Amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, free parking, and access to a fitness center and indoor pool. The hotel is well-equipped to host meetings and conferences of various sizes, with 28 meeting rooms and 40,000 square feet of event space, including the exquisite Tiffany Ballroom for social events. Dining options within the hotel include the sophisticated One Bistro and Zachariah’s breakfast buffet.
This full-time, non-exempt Line Cook role is pivotal in maintaining the hotel’s reputation for exceptional food quality and service. The position requires early shift availability starting at 5 am, with flexibility to adapt to evening shifts and holiday coverage due to the 24/7 operational nature of the property. Employees are supported with schedule flexibility to accommodate alternative days off when working holidays, which excludes Christmas unless events require staffing. This role offers an excellent pathway for individuals who are beginning their culinary careers or those with some cooking experience looking to grow in a fast-paced, team-oriented hospitality environment.
The Line Cook works closely with the Executive Chef and kitchen team to prepare and execute breakfast service, banquet events, and daily dining needs. Using standardized recipes and established kitchen procedures, the Line Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality food items while maintaining strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards. This includes ensuring proper temperature control, cleanliness, and organization of the kitchen workspace, as well as verifying food quality, portion control, and presentation. The position demands strong communication skills to coordinate daily prep priorities and event needs, and the ability to accommodate special dietary requests to enhance guest satisfaction. Comprehensive training on brand standards, safety protocols, and food handling is provided to ensure consistent, guest-focused culinary excellence.
The hiring salary range is from $20.81 to $26.01 per hour, varying based on location, education, skills, and experience. This role is part of FM's extensive Total Rewards program, which offers benefits such as a competitive incentive plan, medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability coverage, well-being initiatives, 401(k) and pension plans, career development opportunities, tuition reimbursement, flexible scheduling, and paid time off including vacation and sick days. Employees are also eligible for Marriott employee discounts after completing required training. Hobbs Brook Management LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to fostering diversity and inclusion within its workforce.
