Job Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- 1-3 months related experience and/or training
- Current California Food Handlers Card
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions and understand measurements
- Ability to read recipes
- Ability to speak and understand English
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work in hot, humid, and varying environmental conditions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or 1-3 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combinations of education and experience
- Current California Food Handlers Card
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions and understand measurements
- Able to read recipes
- Ability to speak and understand English both written and verbally
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
Job Duties
- Wash, cut and/or cook vegetables, fruit, meat, fish, poultry and/or seafood to prepare for use
- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes to prepare menu items
- Prepare plates to be served by placing appropriate menu items on plate
- Use prep lists to determine production for the day
- Complete all responsibilities of assigned position in accordance with company standards
- Promote, establish, and maintain a safe environment for all guests and team members
- Assist with receiving and storing all orders properly as needed
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the restaurant
- Assist in other departments or multiple departments as assigned
- Work on special projects or assist with other necessary operations as directed
- Adapt to alterations or changes in job duties, reassignment, or transfers as assigned
