Job Description

Our establishment is a respected restaurant known for its commitment to quality, service, and culinary excellence. We have built a reputation for serving delicious meals in a welcoming environment where customers feel valued and attended to. Our team is driven by passion for food and dedication to maintaining high standards in every dish we prepare. As part of our continuous efforts to enhance our kitchen operations and offer an exceptional dining experience, we are looking to hire a skilled Line Cook who will play a vital role in the preparation and cooking of a wide variety of menu items.

The Line Cook position is essential to the smooth operation of our kitchen. This role requires an individual who can accurately and efficiently prepare meats, fish, vegetables, soups, salads, and other food products according to established standards. The Line Cook will also be responsible for portioning food products prior to cooking and performing other duties related to food preparation, plating, and garnishing to ensure visual appeal and consistency of dishes. Attention to detail and adherence to quality control are paramount, as the Line Cook must assume 100 percent responsibility for the quality of products served. This position involves using various cooking equipment such as broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection ovens, and flat-top ranges.

In this role, the Line Cook must consistently comply with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen policies to maintain the high culinary standards our patrons expect. Additionally, the Line Cook is tasked with prepping, stocking, and maintaining sufficient levels of ingredients at the line stations to ensure a smooth service period. Maintaining a clean and sanitary workstation is crucial, following guidelines set forth by health authorities.

The work schedule for the Line Cook may vary, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays, with shifts generally ranging from six to eight hours, and occasional overtime when necessary. The ideal candidate will bring a positive attitude, demonstrate professionalism, and collaborate seamlessly with both kitchen and dining room personnel to deliver exceptional service. Holding a valid Food Handler's permit and having a minimum of two years of kitchen preparation and cooking experience are required for success in this role.

Overall, this position demands physical stamina, as the Line Cook will perform repetitive tasks, often standing for extended periods, and frequently lift weights between 20 to 50 pounds. Our establishment offers a supportive work environment where teamwork, respect, and growth are encouraged, making it an ideal opportunity for culinary professionals committed to developing their skills and contributing to our restaurant's excellence.
