The Line Cook position at LOGE Camps presents an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals who value a dynamic, team-oriented environment centered on quality food and guest satisfaction. As a member of the kitchen team, the Line Cook will be responsible for preparing menu items using fresh, scratch ingredients, ensuring the timely and successful execution of dishes, and maintaining a deep understanding of the menu to assist guests with dietary or preparation inquiries.

In this role, the Line Cook develops preparation and ordering specifications for assigned kitchen stations, keeps inventory levels adequate, and ensures cleanliness and safety standards are met throughout the kitchen. Beyond standard cooking tasks, the position requires collaboration with the team to support catering efforts for special events and group meetings, showcasing versatility and a proactive approach to varied kitchen duties. The ability to operate and thoroughly clean kitchen equipment is essential, as well as maintaining an organized workspace with attention to detail for optimal guest experiences.

This position requires physical activity such as frequent bending, reaching, squatting, and the ability to lift and carry heavy objects safely. Candidates must have at least one year of prior culinary team experience and be fluent in English, with bilingual skills considered a plus. Job Requirements

  • one plus years' previous culinary team experience
  • working knowledge of POS software
  • fluent in English
  • bilingual a plus
  • cooking is an active role involving frequent bending, reaching overhead and squatting
  • lifting, carrying and placing objects weighing up to 40 lbs without assistance
  • pushing/pulling objects weighing up to 75 lbs without assistance
  • continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills
  • remaining on your feet for extended periods of time
  • noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud typical of a restaurant setting

Job Duties

  • prepare menu items from scratch ingredients
  • ensure the successful and timely execution of the menu
  • maintain an understanding of all menu items and ingredients and assist guests with dietary or preparation questions and suggestions
  • develop prep and order specifications derived from multiple recipes at an assigned kitchen station
  • maintain inventory levels and ensure that the kitchen is properly stocked
  • follow safety and cleanliness standards and protocols for all assigned kitchen stations
  • participate in cleaning and sanitizing of all areas of the kitchen
  • jump in whenever needed to help the team with standard kitchen duties
  • have a working knowledge of how to operate and deep clean all kitchen equipment
  • support catering efforts for special events and group meetings
  • perform other duties or special projects as assigned by the Head Chef
