Job Description
Vine Hospitality is a premier multi-unit fine dining restaurant group that has earned a distinguished reputation for culinary excellence in the San Francisco Bay Area. Known for operating multiple acclaimed restaurants, including the Left Bank, Petite Left Bank, LB Steak, Camper, Meso Modern Mediterranean, and Rollati Ristorante, Vine Hospitality exemplifies commitment to quality, exemplary service, and innovation in the hospitality industry. The group functions under multiple partnership models but is strengthened by a centralized corporate entity that provides essential shared services such as human resources, operations, finance, marketing, and IT support. This structure not only enhances efficiency but also enables each restaurant to maintain high standards and uphold the unique identities that make them successful and beloved by their patrons.
At Vine Hospitality, the mission to "Serve with Love" translates into a relentless focus on delivering the highest quality food alongside exceptional guest experiences. This mission is backed by a strong commitment to supporting and coaching the back-of-house (BOH) team on food and beverage standards, policies, procedures, and systems designed to ensure consistency and excellence across all restaurant locations. Vine Hospitality's dedication to fostering a positive, professional, and safe work environment has helped build a reputation for being an employer of choice within the hospitality sector.
The available role is for a part-time Cook position within this highly respected restaurant group. This role demands accuracy, efficiency, and a strong knowledge base concerning the preparation and cooking of a variety of foods, including meats, fish, vegetables, soups, and other hot dishes. The Cook will be responsible for both preparing and portioning food products before cooking, ensuring compliance with all applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards. Adherence to established food production programs and procedures is critical, as is the responsible use of facility supplies and equipment to minimize loss, waste, and fraud.
Individuals in this role will be actively engaged in final plate preparation, which includes laying out dishes aesthetically through plating and garnishing cooked items to uphold the presentation standards synonymous with Vine Hospitality's restaurants. The role requires someone who is mindful of maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment and takes accountability for the quality of every product served. Physical stamina is essential, as the Cook will spend up to 8 hours standing and may frequently walk, bend, stoop, and lift items weighing up to 30 pounds.
The position offers significant opportunities for learning and growth within a company known for its dedication to employee development and a supportive, inclusive workplace culture. Full-time employees benefit from comprehensive health and welfare plans—including medical, vision, and dental coverage—along with life insurance, long-term disability, a 401(k) savings plan, and employee dining discounts. The company’s hiring process is compliant with E-Verify, ensuring lawful employment practices.
In summary, the Vine Hospitality part-time Cook position is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about culinary arts and eager to contribute to a reputable fine dining group. Candidates who are detail-oriented, enjoy working in a dynamic kitchen environment, and embrace Vine Hospitality's mission to serve with love are encouraged to consider this rewarding role.
