The role offered is that of a culinary professional within Alltown Fresh Gourmet Market, a part of Global Partners. The culinary team is charged with pioneering a Culinary Revolution aimed at redefining community perceptions of gourmet market dining. This is a unique opportunity for individuals who take pride in their craft, cook with passion, and love to care for guests. Working closely with the Chef and Sous Chef, the successful candidate will engage daily with innovative, state-of-the-art kitchen equipment and thoroughly tested recipes to bring forth fresh, seasonal dishes crafted from partnerships with local farms and regional purveyors. This role is steeped in the use of fresh seasonal ingredients, valuing butchery skills as beneficial though not mandatory, and demanding an uncompromising work ethic along with acute attention to detail and cleanliness.
In this position, the candidate will be responsible for preparing food while managing orders simultaneously, interacting with guests to showcase the passion for foodservice and dedication to hospitality, and accommodating guests’ specific dietary needs, including allergies. The role requires collaborating with front-of-house staff to ensure food service temperature standards are maintained and proficient operation of various kitchen appliances such as blenders, ovens, flat-top grills, and stand mixers. Additionally, the position involves preparing sauces and accompaniments before service, maintaining a clean and organized workstation under high-pressure conditions, estimating food consumption, filling out prep lists, and assuming additional responsibilities as needed.

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Strong communication skills for guest interaction
