Job Requirements
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen is helpful but not required
- experience with common kitchen equipment (pizza oven, grill, fryer, etc.) is preferred but not required
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- basic written and verbal communication skills
- organizational skills
- accuracy and speed in executing tasks
- ability to work as a team member
- follows directions and instructions
- high school diploma or GED
- positive outlook and cooperative with all employees
- understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- be able to lift 50 lbs
- familiar with industry's best practices (safety/sanitation)
- a culinary degree is a plus

Job Duties
- Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces
- cooks food items by grilling, frying, sauteing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards
- maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage
- cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift
- performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs
- sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies
- perform tasks with speed and accuracy (meet ticket times)
- set up and maintain a clean workstation following protocol
- adheres to sanitary, health, and personal hygiene standards
- maintain quality and freshness of ingredients and products
- comply with all rules and policies outlined in the MCBC employee handbook
- perform other duties as directed by management
