The current opportunity at Apollo Bagels is for a versatile Cashier and Line Cook position, ideally suited for candidates with experience in kitchen operations as well as front-of-house service. This role bridges the gap between customer engagement and food preparation, requiring an energetic, adaptable team member who excels in both fast-paced, high-volume settings and personal guest interactions. Being bilingual is strongly preferred for this role as it enhances the ability to serve a culturally diverse clientele effectively.
As a Cashier, the team member is the face of Apollo Bagels for many customers, providing friendly and efficient service at the register and counter. Responsibilities include accurately processing orders via POS systems, handling various payment methods like cash, credit cards, and mobile payments, managing guest flow, and maintaining organized queues during busy periods. Creating a welcoming and high-energy environment is crucial, along with preparing beverages such as coffee and fresh orange juice when necessary.
On the back-of-house side, the line cook duties involve preparing signature bagels, sandwiches, and supporting overall kitchen operations especially during peak hours. Ensuring food quality, speed of service, and cleanliness are key priorities, alongside effective communication with team members to guarantee order accuracy and customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements
- 1-2+ years of line cook or kitchen experience required
- Experience in high-volume, fast-paced environments
- Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish/English or similar) strongly preferred
- Food handler certification a plus
