Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 1 year experience in a professional kitchen
  • ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment
  • must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • good communication skills
  • ability to follow directions precisely
  • willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a line cook or similar kitchen role
  • knowledge of various cooking methods and kitchen equipment
  • ability to follow recipes and chef’s instructions accurately
  • strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • basic understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to work well in a team environment
  • culinary degree or certification is a plus

Job Duties

  • Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies
  • prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces
  • cook food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards
  • maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage
  • cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift
  • performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs
