Job Requirements

  • have experience in a minimum of one of these stations pantry, pastry, pizza, wok, sauté, grill
  • preferably have at least 6 months experience in a similar capacity in a high-volume restaurant
  • the flexibility and availability to work nights, holidays and/or weekends should be doable
  • exhibit exceptional knife skills
  • can work efficiently in a high volume, fast paced environment
  • read and execute a recipe
  • a love of making great food and understands the accountability of presenting quality dishes

Job Duties

  • prepare and cook a variety of starters, entrees, pizzas and more using a variety of kitchen equipment and techniques
  • know and comply consistently with portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
  • stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service
  • portion food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications
  • maintain a clean and sanitary work station and corresponding equipment
  • execute proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes
  • handle, store, and rotate all products properly and according to standards
  • assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed
  • open and close the kitchen properly, assist others and follow checklists for kitchen stations
  • understand and follow proper rules of hygiene and food safety measures
  • participate in proactive communication to help avoid and solve operational, HR, and financial issues
  • be flexible during shift to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed
