Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Prior cooking experience in a related setting preferred
Current sanitation certification
Reliable, predictable, and punctual attendance
Ability to work weekends and flexible hours
Effective communication skills
Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
Sensitivity and enjoyment working with older adults
Ability to follow recipes and safety protocols

Job Qualifications

Knowledge and understanding of cooking techniques
Prior experience in high-quality restaurant, country club, hotel, or senior living culinary environments preferred
Ability to communicate with supervisors, co-workers, residents, and guests
Ability to follow standardized recipes
Ability to operate kitchen equipment and tools used in hospitality and healthcare
Current sanitation certification
Effective written communication skills
Ability to read and interpret instructions
Sensitive to the needs of older adults
Ability to work productively in a team environment

Job Duties

Assist in preparing various types of food while maintaining quality and safety standards
Follow standardized recipes accurately
Operate kitchen equipment and tools commonly found in hospitality and healthcare industries

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen to meet certification requirements
