The Restaurant Cook position at Life Time offers the opportunity to work alongside health-minded teammates in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This hourly role starts with a competitive wage ranging between $18.75 and $22.25 per hour, with compensation adjusted based on experience and qualifications. The job involves managing the flow of food production collaboratively with the sandwich and salad stations to guarantee timely food preparation and quality control. You will routinely engage in kitchen maintenance tasks such as sweeping, mopping, cleaning equipment, and washing dishes, all vital to a seamless food service operation.

Candidates for this role must have a high school diploma or GED and demonstrate the physical ability to perform tasks such as bending and lifting items over 20 lbs. Additionally, certification requirements such as ServSafe within 90 days and CPR/AED certification within 30 days of hire are mandatory, underscoring the company’s commitment to safety and professional standards. The role is ideal for individuals with prior experience in fast-casual or full-service restaurant environments and those who are passionate about health and nutrition.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift more than 20 lbs
  • Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the Cafe for prolonged periods of time
  • ServSafe certification required within the first 90 days of hire
  • CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire

Job Duties

  • Adheres to the daily needs for the Bistro including stocking supplies maintaining cleanliness and ensuring safety of kitchen
  • Maintains LifeCafe and kitchen cleanliness including sweeping mopping cleaning kitchen equipment and washing dishes
  • Manages the flow of food production in conjunction with the sandwich and salad stations
  • Follows recipes to ensure consistency freshness and quality of ingredients while preparing food
  • Collaborates with team members to ensure timely food preparation and delivery
  • Observes and enforces food safety and sanitation standards
  • Assists with inventory management and restocking as needed
