As a Shift Leader at Slim Chickens, you will play a vital role in the daily operations of the restaurant. This position requires hands-on leadership to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant functioning while enhancing team performance and customer satisfaction. Collaborating closely with management, you will be responsible for directing shift operations across various areas such as the kitchen, drive-thru, and dining room. You will ensure that food preparation meets the high standards of Slim Chickens and that all operational tasks, including opening or closing the restaurant and cash handling, are completed accurately.
Beyond operations, the Shift Leader is a key figure in team leadership—training, guiding, and motivating team members to deliver excellent service. Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience in fast food or restaurant leadership is a strong advantage
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand, move and lift objects throughout the shift
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Direct fast and organized shifts in kitchen, drive-thru and dining room
- Ensure food is prepared, cooked and served according to Slim's standards
- Open or close the restaurant, count cash registers and handle deposits
- Maintain stations stocked, clean and in compliance with safety standards
- Train, coach and support new and existing team members
- Keep the team motivated and focused on delivering excellent customer service
- Act as manager on duty when necessary and help enforce policies
- Lead by example showing a friendly, energetic and customer-focused attitude
- Handle customer comments or concerns quickly and professionally
- Help make Slim's a place people want to return to
