Job Description

Headway is a pioneering healthcare technology company committed to transforming the way mental health professionals engage with insurance networks. Specializing in streamlining the complexities of insurance acceptance for licensed counselors, Headway provides an invaluable platform that enables mental health providers to expand their reach and improve access to care for those who need it most. By facilitating a seamless connection between therapists and insurance companies, Headway’s mission is to empower counselors, reduce administrative burdens, and amplify the availability of affordable mental health services across the United States.

This platform offers comprehensive support for licensed professional counselors (LPCs) looking to either launch a new private practice or grow an existing one by incorporating insurance billing. Providers benefit from free credentialing services that speed up the often lengthy and complicated insurance enrollment process, thereby allowing counselors to start accepting covered clients sooner. Headway works with a variety of insurance plans, including Medicare Advantage and Medicaid, providing access to an extensive network which, in turn, results in greater patient volume and increased earning potential through higher reimbursement rates.

The role of the Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in partnership with Headway is designed to enhance professional growth while ensuring client care remains the priority. Ideal candidates for this position will bring their expertise and passion for mental health into a business model supported by advanced technological tools such as built-in electronic health record (EHR) features for efficient practice management. These include real-time scheduling, secure client messaging, end-to-end documentation templates, and built-in assessment tools. Headway also furnishes ongoing audit support and compliance resources to maintain the highest standards of practice and ethical care.

LPCs working with Headway are provided with dependable, predictable bi-weekly payments, helping to foster financial stability. Additionally, Headway encourages long-term career advancement through free continuing education courses available via Headway Academy, supporting providers with the latest clinical knowledge and professional development opportunities.

In summary, this is an outstanding opportunity for licensed professional counselors to leverage Headway’s platform to accept insurance with ease, enhance their revenue streams, and ultimately, facilitate accessible, affordable mental health care. The role offers flexibility, a strong support system, and a compelling compensation package with wages up to $121.74 per hour. Joining Headway means becoming part of a mission-driven company dedicated to expanding mental health care accessibility while supporting providers in achieving successful, sustainable private practices.
