The 5 South Medical Department is a 36-bed Oncology/Palliative Care Medical-Surgical Unit focused on adult oncology/palliative care patients and geriatric patients. This unit operates on a track schedule and maintains a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5, which allows for focused, individualized care. The care team on this unit includes Registered Nurses, Clinical Educators, Nursing Assistants, Unit Secretaries, Resource Nurses, Case Managers, Physical Therapists, Dieticians, and Occupational and Speech Therapists. The unit welcomes new graduate nurses, emphasizing an inclusive environment geared towards professional growth and development.
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) role at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center is integral to delivering quality direct nursing care to assigned patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Job Requirements
