The role of Guest Service Captain at Towne Park centers on orchestrating seamless service experiences for hotel guests alongside fellow team members to meet or surpass the established service standards. Reporting to the Account Manager, the Guest Service Captain takes on additional coordination and administrative responsibilities, including troubleshooting and providing guidance in the manager's absence. Although the position is not a management role, it requires the individual to handle critical issues and make swift judgment calls when necessary. Guest Service Captains maintain a pleasant and professional demeanor, lead by example focusing on aggressive hospitality, and ensure safety and confidentiality standards are upheld. This role demands excellent communication skills, an ability to work under pressure, and a detailed understanding of the client's facility and local area to facilitate guest inquiries effectively. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must pass criminal background check
  • Must pass motor vehicle record check
  • Must pass drug screening
  • Completion of wheelchair safety training
  • Six months of related experience or equivalent education and training
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
  • Must maintain a clean driving record
  • Ability to drive manual transmission
  • Able to speak, read and write English
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to apply reasoning and understanding to follow instructions
  • Basic math skills including operations with American money and times
  • Ability to understand 24-hour and military time
  • Ability to understand applicable rates

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Ability to pass criminal background, MVR and drug screen
  • Completion of Towne Park wheelchair safety training
  • Six months related experience or equivalent education and training
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to drive manual transmission
  • Proficient in speaking, reading and writing Standard English
  • Ability to comprehend and write simple correspondence
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to apply reasoning to follow instructions
  • Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Understanding of 24-hour and military time formats
  • Knowledge of applicable rates and time calculations

Job Duties

  • Maintain a pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, client staff and coworkers
  • Acknowledge and greet guests promptly to create favorable impressions
  • Deliver aggressive hospitality and participate in 'The Show'
  • Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Check in guests and explain parking procedures
  • Park and retrieve vehicles carefully
  • Handle guest complaints and difficult situations calmly
  • Use proper phone etiquette
  • Conduct room presentations for bell services
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and inquiries
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of client's facility and local area
  • Lead teamwork and communicate effectively
  • Appoint associates to routine roles
  • Assign coworkers non-ordinary roles per manager direction
  • Reduce staff during shifts as directed
  • Issue claim checks and collect keys
  • Complete vehicle documentation accurately
  • Secure vehicle keys responsibly
  • Prevent lifts, assist with safe wheelchair use and maintain confidentiality
  • Assist in building work schedules and notifying staff
  • Collect and reconcile revenue
  • Complete shift reports and paperwork with accuracy
