This role is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of dishware, serve ware, kitchen equipment, and utensils. The Lead Steward not only ensures that all items are cleaned and sanitized efficiently to meet both company and client standards, but also takes on a supervisory capacity by scheduling, assigning, and overseeing the daily responsibilities of the stewarding staff. This ensures smooth workflow and compliance with safety, sanitation, and operational protocols. Working closely with management and other team members, the Lead Steward contributes to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for guests, customers, and coworkers alike. Compensation for this role ranges from $25.73 to $26.63 per hour, reflecting the responsibility and leadership expected of the position.\n\nBeyond the core duties, the Lead Steward is expected to perform additional serviceable tasks such as light maintenance and custodial duties to uphold the overall cleanliness and functionality of the kitchen area. This position requires physical endurance, including standing and walking for extended periods, frequent lifting and carrying of items up to 50 pounds, and adherence to safety procedures regarding the handling of hazardous chemicals. Flexibility in working hours—including evenings, weekends, and holidays—is essential, especially given the event-driven nature of some Aramark operations. The Lead Steward must demonstrate effective leadership skills, punctuality, and a dedication to customer service excellence. Job Duties
- Schedules and assigns daily work assignments and oversees the completion of tasks
- trains and guides staff on job duties and procedures
- ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils are cleaned and sanitized
- maintains dishwashing station, three compartment sink and related areas cleaned
- ensures equipment is clean and in working condition
- reports any issues to management
- performs other light maintenance and custodial tasks
- maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers
- adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
- ensures security of company assets
- other duties and tasks as assigned by manager
