The position demands good communication skills, the ability to multitask within a fast-paced retail setting, and basic mathematical skills for cash handling.
The employment type is typically full-time or part-time hourly retail associate positions that provide opportunities for career growth within company store locations, distribution centers, or corporate support functions. Dollar General emphasizes leadership opportunities within their stores, encouraging candidates to develop their skill set and advance professionally. While relocation assistance is not provided, the company offers a supportive work culture where employees can thrive and contribute meaningfully to the retail experience.
