Job Description

White Lodging is a leading hospitality company that develops and operates a collection of award-winning, premium-brand hotels, rooftop bars, and restaurants located in some of the best cities to live in across the United States. Known for their dedication to delivering exquisite guest experiences, White Lodging operates with the philosophy that hospitality is fundamentally about how you make people feel. This approach distinguishes them in the hospitality industry and fosters an environment where both employees and guests feel valued and appreciated. The company is committed to creating opportunities for growth and personal development, ensuring that each team member can bring their best self to work every day. White Lodging offers an inclusive workplace culture that prioritizes diversity and equal opportunity for all associates. Employees benefit from a comprehensive suite of perks and benefits that support both their professional and personal lives, including early access to pay through DailyPay, day-one medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off with rollover options, and numerous wellness resources. Other notable benefits include a 401(k) with company match, leadership development programs, tuition reimbursement, and special discounts on hotel rooms, dining, and entertainment experiences. This supportive environment makes White Lodging a sought-after employer within the hospitality sector.

The Pastry Cook role is a critical culinary position within White Lodging's food and beverage operations. This role involves producing all baked goods necessary to support the food and beverage outlets across the company's portfolio of hotels and restaurants. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of product quality in the pastry department, ensuring that all items meet the company's exacting standards for taste, appearance, and consistency. Essential duties include setting up pastry stations properly and on time for each service period, communicating effectively with restaurant outlets regarding pastry and bakery production needs and inventory levels, and strictly adhering to standardized recipes by following recipe cards. The Pastry Cook will use a variety of kitchen equipment to prepare ingredients and execute baking processes, including weighing, measuring, mixing, washing, peeling, cutting, grinding, stirring, straining, and kneading. Creativity is highly valued in this position, as the Pastry Cook is expected to bring artistry and attention to detail to every item produced, especially when crafting small and delicate pastry designs.

White Lodging prefers candidates who have prior experience in a luxury hotel or standalone restaurant environment and holds a Culinary Arts Degree or Certificate. The job also demands physical stamina, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods. This full-time position offers robust benefits from day one, reinforcing White Lodging's commitment to its employees' health and well-being. The Pastry Cook will join a passionate team that views hospitality as more than a job — it’s a chance to make a positive impression on every guest. This is a unique opportunity for culinary professionals eager to develop their skills within a supportive and dynamic company that values both exceptional service and individual growth.
