The Lead Line Cook will be expected to manage multiple cooking stations during fast-paced service periods, ensuring that every dish is prepared promptly and presented beautifully with ticket times under 15 minutes. This role requires strong multitasking abilities, efficiency, and an unwavering attention to detail to ensure every plate looks picture-worthy and meets established food quality standards.
Our ideal candidate will possess real kitchen line experience, specifically in fast casual food environments (not fast food), with a minimum of four years developing robust skills in meal preparation, knife work, and food presentation. The Lead Line Cook will play an active part in menu planning by offering valuable insights on ingredient selection, dish execution, and portion control. Job Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant experience with a focus on fast casual food environments
- Strong culinary skills including knife skills, meal preparation, and food presentation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus
- Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining a positive work environment
- Excellent communication skills with an energetic approach to teamwork
- Familiarity with menu planning, food industry standards, and kitchen operations

Job Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of line cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service
- Prepare, cook, and plate dishes according to established recipes, presentation standards, and customer specifications
- Oversee food handling procedures, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Assist with menu planning by providing input on dish execution, ingredient selection, and portion control
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace by adhering to proper kitchen sanitation practices and equipment maintenance
- Help with training new team members on cooking techniques, safety protocols, and food industry best practices
- Collaborate with management to monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and minimize waste while maintaining quality
