We are currently seeking a dependable and experienced Lead Line Cook to join our culinary team. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, the Lead Line Cook will play a critical role in overseeing kitchen operations, maintaining food quality standards, and leading the line during busy service periods. This full-time position offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $20.00 to $24.00 based on experience, with opportunities for advancement within the company. The schedule includes night shifts, weekends, and holidays, requiring flexibility and commitment to the team.
The Lead Line Cook will be responsible for ensuring that all food items are prepared according to established recipes and presentation guidelines while maintaining consistency, cleanliness, and speed. This role demands multitasking in a high-volume kitchen environment where the ability to work well under pressure is essential. In addition to hands-on cooking duties, the Lead Line Cook will assist with prep lists, kitchen opening and closing duties, and inventory management. A key component of the position includes training and mentoring line cooks and prep cooks, helping to develop a cohesive and skilled team. Maintaining food safety and sanitation standards is paramount, along with monitoring ticket times and coordinating communication between the kitchen and front-of-house staff.
Candidates for this role should have at least five years of line cook experience, with leadership or supervisory experience in a kitchen setting preferred. Job Duties
- Lead and organize the line during service
- Ensure all food is prepared according to recipe and presentation standards
- Assist with prep lists and kitchen opening/closing duties

- Monitor ticket times and communicate with expo/FOH
- Help control food waste and portioning
- Ensure all stations are stocked and prepared before service
- Assist with inventory counts and receiving deliveries
- Communicate equipment or maintenance issues to management
- Step in wherever needed to keep kitchen operations smooth
