The role of Lead Food and Nutrition Services at Memorial Health University Medical Center is crucial in maintaining the quality and efficiency of food and nutrition operations within the hospital. As a Lead Food and Nutrition Services coordinator, you will supervise and coordinate the department's operations across assigned hospital and campus locations, ensuring compliance with State, Local, Federal, and Joint Commission regulations. Your responsibilities will include managing patient and non-patient food services, employee cafeterias, doctor’s dining rooms, catering, and floor stock. The role demands the ability to evaluate existing systems and implement improvements to enhance service quality. This position requires a commitment to sanitary practices and maintaining aseptic, aesthetically pleasing environments in all food and nutrition service areas. Compliance with current policies, procedures, and regulatory standards such as TJC, OSHA, and EEOC is essential. Job Requirements
- High school diploma preferred
- Minimum of three years’ experience in food services or hospitality preferred
- Knowledge of hospital and healthcare operations preferred
- Knowledge of hospital and healthcare financial metrics preferred
- Level 1 Food Hygiene Certificate required
- State Food Handler Card or equivalent required
- Local Food Handler Card or equivalent required

Job Duties
- Coordinate the operations and activities of the Food and Nutrition Services Department within assigned hospital and campus locations
- Provide consistent, high quality service in a sanitary environment while ensuring compliance with State, Local, Federal and Joint Commission regulations
- Evaluate existing systems and processes, initiate changes and improvements, and make suggestions to management
- Demonstrate knowledge and ensure compliance with all current policies, procedures and regulatory standards within food and nutritional services areas
- Support department leadership and manage daily operations of food services including patient and non-patient food service, employee cafeteria, doctor’s dining room, catering, and floor stock
- Coordinate effective operation of food and nutrition services to provide an aseptic and aesthetically pleasing environment
- Supervise assigned functions of the department to ensure adherence to performance standards and regulatory compliance
