Job Description
Product Connections is a dynamic part of the Acosta Group, a leading collective of trusted retail, marketing, and foodservice agencies dedicated to transforming how people connect with brands at every point of their shopping journey. As a full-service marketing agency, Product Connections specializes in both digital and traditional retail events, demonstrations, experiential marketing, sponsorship activation, and omnichannel shopper marketing. This comprehensive approach allows the company to deliver tailored brand solutions that connect products with the right target audience at the optimal moment, effectively guiding consumers through the conversion funnel. With over 10,000 experts in the field and more than 150 corporate employees, Product Connections prides itself on a diverse range of talents and experiences that redefine what it means to be a marketing agency. The organization fosters a supportive, collaborative, and inclusive culture that encourages employees to think big, expand their skill sets, and advance their careers, making it an excellent place for professionals seeking growth and meaningful impact.
The role of Associate within Product Connections is vital to the company’s retail event and demonstration operations. The Associate is primarily responsible for executing in-store food and non-food product demonstrations, ensuring that each event is completed professionally and efficiently. This position requires acquiring and maintaining in-depth knowledge of the products represented to effectively communicate their features and benefits to consumers. The Associate serves and demonstrates products, proactively engages customers, and sells products in a friendly and professional manner that enhances the customer experience and drives sales. The role includes managing all event execution equipment within the stores, ensuring cleanliness, proper setup, and secure storage of event supplies. Additionally, the Associate is expected to adapt to the needs of the business, occasionally acting as the point of contact in the absence of a Supervisor to coordinate and support event execution. This includes assisting other event specialists, providing leadership and knowledge to the team, and building strong rapport with store personnel to meet both company and client objectives. The position requires the preparation and serving of food samples, including handling raw meats, produce, and eggs in compliance with food safety guidelines, using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, and coffee makers. Maintaining a clean, sterile, and safe workstation is essential, as is adhering to professional appearance standards and retail dress codes. This position typically requires no more than 25 hours per week, allowing flexibility while still demanding a proactive, customer-focused approach. Excellent communication skills and the ability to complete administrative tasks such as expense reports and event documentation on time are also critical components of this role. By joining Product Connections, Associates become part of a forward-thinking marketing agency where their ideas have impact, their careers are supported, and their contributions help build strong brands.
