Job Description
Sodexo is a global leader in quality of daily life services, dedicated to enhancing the well-being and performance of individuals and organizations alike. With a diverse portfolio that includes food services, facilities management, catering, and integrated solutions, Sodexo serves millions of people worldwide across various industries including healthcare, education, corporate, and government sectors. The company's mission is grounded in creating a better everyday experience for everyone, fostering inclusivity, and supporting sustainable development within the communities in which it operates. Sodexo values each employee's unique contributions and promotes a respectful and diverse workplace where ideas are encouraged and innovation thrives.
The Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific in Honolulu, Hawaii, a premier healthcare facility with 80 beds, specializes in providing tailored rehabilitation programs that promote optimal health and independence for patients recovering from serious medical conditions. Sodexo proudly partners with this hospital to deliver superior dietary and clinical nutrition services essential to patient recovery and satisfaction.
This exciting full-time position as Lead Registered Dietitian offers an excellent opportunity to take a hands-on leadership role within a highly collaborative healthcare team. The role requires managing the nutrition programs and clinical nutrition and patient services teams, ensuring the delivery of top-tier nutritional care to an average census of 60 patients. A significant aspect of the role is direct patient interaction through individual and group counseling, providing nutritional education, and participating in collaborative care planning. The Lead Registered Dietitian will oversee and develop the skills of Dietetic Ambassadors and Per Diem Registered Dietitians, supporting their professional growth and ensuring adherence to operational excellence and regulatory guidelines.
Sodexo recently introduced the innovative Health Touch patient ordering system at the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific, and the lead dietitian will play an integral part in overseeing its effective use within the nutrition program. This leadership role also involves close collaboration with the Chef-Manager to develop patient menus that meet strict dietary standards and clinical needs. The successful candidate will contribute to ongoing staff training initiatives, including safety protocols, team huddles, and monthly professional development sessions, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and patient-centered care.
Sodexo offers a competitive and equitable salary package, commensurate with the candidate's education, experience, skills, and training. This comprehensive role is based in the vibrant community of Honolulu, providing not only a professional advancement opportunity but also the chance to live and work in one of the most beautiful and culturally rich locations in the United States. Benefits include a wide range of health coverage options, a 401(k) plan with matching contributions, paid time off, company holidays, tuition reimbursement, and support for continuing education to help dietitians maintain professional credentials and grow their expertise.
Joining Sodexo means becoming part of a company committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, where employees are respected and empowered to be their authentic selves. As a Lead Registered Dietitian in this dynamic healthcare setting, you will be instrumental in enhancing patient outcomes through nutrition, supporting a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, and driving excellence in dietetic services. This position offers not only a meaningful career path but also the opportunity to positively impact the quality of life for patients and staff alike.
