Job Requirements

  • 2 years' experience in restaurant leadership
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to cook and manage a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Experience with kitchen compliance standards
  • Experience with special diets, seasoning requirements, cooking times, and temperature controls

Job Duties

  • Cook and handle foods in large quantities that are palatable, appetizing, and attractively presented
  • Assist with training cooks on proper meal preparation, cooking, and presentation following safety and sanitary standards
  • Help create new seasonal menu cycles with the Culinary Director to meet resident nutritional needs and requests
  • Maintain inventory of food to ensure sufficient supplies for meal preparation and emergency situations for at least three days
  • Assist the Culinary Director with standardizing production recipes to ensure consistent quality and exercise independent decision-making
  • Follow a schedule and assist with ordering all necessary food items for kitchen operation
