Job Description

Trio-Community Meals is a prominent community-focused foodservice provider operating primarily in Fresno, California. As part of the Trio brand, this establishment specializes in delivering nutritious and high-quality meals within the community meals segment, ensuring that the most vulnerable members of the community—such as seniors and patients in care facilities—receive exceptional foodservice and care. The company operates onsite, providing full-time employment opportunities and fostering a supportive and growth-oriented work environment. Trio-Community Meals is a division under Elior North America, a leading foodservice management company dedicated to service excellence and employee development across various market sectors including healthcare, education, and business & industry.

At Trio-Community Meals, a career goes beyond the kitchen. Employees are empowered with meaningful responsibilities that impact lives directly, supporting community members and enhancing their well-being through excellent nutrition and professional foodservice standards. The company values diversity, equal opportunity, and continuous growth, encouraging employees to advance within the company or the broader Elior North America network.

The role of Lead Cook at Trio-Community Meals is a vital position within the team, requiring an experienced and motivated foodservice professional who will both prepare and oversee food preparation efforts. This is a full-time, onsite position based in Fresno, CA, offering a competitive compensation rate of $23.50 per hour. As a Lead Cook, your responsibilities will extend beyond culinary execution—leading, training, and supervising a dedicated team of foodservice staff to uphold the highest standards of food quality, safety, and sanitation.

In this leadership role, you will manage daily food preparation activities to ensure adherence to recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. Your expertise in food safety guidelines and sanitation practices will be essential in preventing contamination and ensuring compliance with health regulations. Additionally, you will play a key role in inventory management and controlling food costs, optimizing resources without compromising quality.

The job also demands strong multitasking abilities and excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and other departments. As a role model and mentor, you will inspire your team to perform their best and foster a collaborative work culture so that every meal prepared meets Trio-Community Meals' standards of excellence. The opportunity to enhance your culinary skills, leadership capabilities, and contribute to community health through nutrition makes this position both rewarding and impactful.

Trio and Elior North America emphasize career development and provide ongoing training opportunities to enhance your expertise and advance your career. With benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance, paid time off, holiday pay, and tuition reimbursement, this role is well supported to meet employees’ personal and professional needs. If you are passionate about foodservice excellence and being a leader in a mission-driven environment that prioritizes community well-being, the Lead Cook position at Trio-Community Meals in Fresno is an excellent opportunity to grow your skills and make a meaningful difference.
