The position of Lead Cook at Infuse Hospitality’s Addison café is an exciting opportunity for a reliable individual who is enthusiastic about cooking and eager to enhance their expertise within a fast-paced, dynamic setting. The Lead Cook plays a pivotal role in the kitchen, responsible for preparing high-quality food items according to detailed recipes and daily preparation instructions. This role requires attention to detail, effective time management, and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen at all times. As a Lead Cook, you will ensure that meals are not only appealing and flavorful but also served promptly and at the correct temperature to meet demanding production schedules.

In this role, you will engage in various culinary duties, including prepping ingredients, managing storage of food items, operating kitchen equipment, and maintaining sanitary conditions throughout the food preparation and serving process. The position is ideal for someone comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team, with the flexibility to work day or evening shifts as needed. Job Requirements

  • Ability to work nights weekends holidays and be on call for emergencies
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure
  • attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • ability to multi-task and resolve issues simultaneously without sacrificing quality or safety
  • ability to perform repetitive motion such as reaching bending stooping and hand wrist and body movement on-line cutting preparing food items
  • ability to lift to a maximum of 40 lbs
  • ability to walk and stand 90 percent throughout shift
  • able to work day and evening shifts
  • able to commute and relocate to Addison Texas
  • willing to work in person at designated location

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary experience desired ideally in hospitality or similar setting
  • experience working as a line cook preferred
  • Servsafe Food Handler or Food Manager certification preferred
  • understanding of cooking methods procedures and proper knife handling skills
  • positive attitude and willingness to learn and follow instructions
  • ability to work quickly and efficiently
  • comfortable following recipes and working with technology
  • detail oriented and team-oriented
  • possesses customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and daily prep list instructions
  • serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning and meeting outlined standards
  • responsible for preparation of menu items
  • meets established food preparation times during busy meal periods
  • cleans kitchen after preparation and serving maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation
  • stores or discards excess food according to safe food-handling procedures
  • keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat
  • ensures food is stored per standards
  • operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
