This particular position is based at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, a prestigious institution recognized for its focus on aviation and aerospace education. The role offered is that of a Lead Cook within Sodexo’s food service operations at the university campus. This is a full-time opportunity with varying shifts, open availability preferred, and a competitive pay range from $7.25 to $25.79 per hour. As a Lead Cook, you will play a critical role in preparing and presenting hot and cold food items across multiple meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special catered events. You will follow designated recipes and product guidelines carefully to ensure quality and consistency. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 3 to 4 years of experience in related food service or cooking roles preferred
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Availability to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen duties
- Open to learning and adapting to new food preparation techniques

Job Duties
- Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events
- Read and follow basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing various food items
- Prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station
- Support management in the daily oversight of key functions and employees during the normal course of business
- Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
- Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts depending on business necessities and client requirements
