With annual revenues nearing 8 billion dollars and a workforce of over 100,000 employees spread across 350 offices in the United States, United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, and other international locations, ABM is a global leader in delivering essential and forward-thinking performance solutions. These solutions encompass a broad spectrum from janitorial and engineering services to parking, electrical and lighting, energy and electric vehicle infrastructure, HVAC and mechanical services, landscape and turf management, and mission-critical solutions.
ABM believes in fostering inclusive hiring practices, being an Equal Opportunity Employer that values diversity and provides reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities. ABM’s commitment to integrity and compliance is evidenced through their participation in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s E-Verify program to ensure employment eligibility for all new hires.
The role of Lead at ABM is a pivotal position geared towards ensuring that facility operations comply with all established policies and procedures. The Lead is responsible for overseeing daily operations at the assigned location, delegating job assignments to team members, and providing essential guidance to maintain high operational standards. This position serves as the on-site supervisor in the absence of the Facility Manager, taking responsibility for upholding building cleanliness, safety, and overall facility upkeep. This includes demonstration of established operational standards and hands-on involvement in specialized equipment operation, chemical handling, and janitorial tasks.
Offered at an hourly pay rate of $19.50, this position follows a shift schedule from Wednesday through Saturday, 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM. This opportunity is ideal for individuals entering or re-entering the workforce who may have limited experience or formal education. ABM encourages veterans and candidates with military experience to apply, reflecting their dedication to serving the veteran community.
Shifts as a Lead at ABM involve a dynamic combination of operational supervision and active participation in facility maintenance activities. The Lead is tasked with coordinating with team members for daily and weekly scheduling, monitoring supplies and equipment, and maintaining detailed communication records between field employees and management. The role also demands proficiency in handling client communications, overseeing the quality and completion of jobs, and ensuring that safety and cleanliness standards are consistently met. In addition, the Lead is responsible for managing keys and access cards, reporting issues with damaged or faulty equipment, and providing training for new hires to guarantee smooth onboarding.
