ABM (NYSE: ABM) is a global leader in facility services and solutions, renowned for its commitment to creating cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environments. With over a century of experience since its founding in 1909, ABM has grown to serve more than 20,000 clients across a diverse range of industries including commercial office buildings, universities, airports, hospitals, data centers, manufacturing facilities, entertainment venues, and distribution centers. ABM delivers a comprehensive portfolio of services such as janitorial, engineering, parking, electrical and lighting, energy and electric vehicle charging infrastructure, HVAC and mechanical services, landscape and turf management, as well as mission-critical solutions. The company operates from over 350 offices across the United States, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, and other international locations, boasting a workforce exceeding 100,000 dedicated team members and an annual revenue approaching $8 billion.

The role of Lead at ABM is vital in ensuring the consistent adherence to operational policies and procedures across facility locations. This position holds the responsibility of coordinating daily operations by delegating assignments and providing clear guidance to team members to maintain optimal facility standards. Acting as a supervisory presence during shifts when the Manager is not available, the Lead plays a pivotal role in maintaining safe, clean, and well-functioning environments for both employees and customers. This position requires a hands-on approach to overseeing cleaning operations, managing equipment, and the proper handling of cleaning chemicals, while also supporting general janitorial duties. The Lead is expected to demonstrate the highest standards of facility cleanliness and safety while offering leadership that encourages productivity and reliability among the team.

The position offers an hourly pay rate of $19.50, reflecting the candidate’s experience, skills, abilities, and location. The work schedule is specifically set for Wednesday through Saturday, from 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM. This schedule supports ABM’s commitment to flexibility while addressing operational needs efficiently. ABM also encourages military veterans and candidates with military experience to apply, emphasizing its status as a military-friendly employer.

Within this role, daily duties include overseeing cleaning operations, managing schedules, ensuring supply and equipment readiness, addressing any facility maintenance issues, and providing thorough training for new hires tailored to their onboarding experience. The Lead is also responsible for ensuring communication flows effectively between field staff and management and must maintain documentation of client communications and work completions. The use and safeguarding of keys and access cards are essential security-related tasks assigned to this role. The successful Lead will need to demonstrate reliability, leadership skills, and the ability to anticipate and resolve potential barriers to work flow.

ABM provides a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being and growth of its employees. Potential candidates will find this role to be ideal for those entering or returning to the workforce, with minimal barriers related to formal education. ABM’s inclusive hiring practices ensure equality and accommodation for applicants of all backgrounds and provide veteran-friendly opportunities and support. Candidates are encouraged to apply through ABM’s official website, where they can access more detailed information about benefits and career opportunities.
