The Lead Cashier role is pivotal in driving the store's operational excellence by ensuring smooth, efficient, and friendly guest transactions while maintaining high standards at the cashwrap area. The individual in this position is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, including greeting guests warmly, personalizing their shopping experience, and actively recommending products or services. Beyond transactional duties, the Lead Cashier plays a leadership role by assisting in training new cashiers and cross-training associates, ensuring that all team members adhere to Ulta Beauty’s policies and standards. This role requires fostering loyalty program engagement and credit sales success by educating guests and motivating associates to meet and exceed loyalty goals. Key responsibilities include managing cash wrap cleanliness and organization, supporting store leaders in various operational functions such as opening and closing registers, conducting exit inspections, and contributing to inventory control and loss prevention efforts. The Lead Cashier must demonstrate strong communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. With a pay range from $16.50 to $24.75 per hour, compensation will be based on education, experience, certifications, shift, location, and organizational needs.
