The Lead Cashier (LC) at Ulta Beauty plays a vital role in operational efficiency at the cashwrap by ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of guest transactions while upholding high standards of cleanliness and presentation. This role bridges customer service excellence with operational responsibilities, as the LC not only delivers exceptional service to guests but also supports training new cashiers and cross-training associates. Job Requirements
- high school diploma preferred
- two years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- must be at least 18 years old
- ability to stand, bend, crouch, twist, and lift up to 25 lbs frequently during shift
- continuous mobility and manual dexterity for handling objects
- must adhere to company dress code
- commitment to compliance with company policies and procedures

Job Duties
- contribute to meeting or exceeding sales and loyalty goals including credit
- ensure exceptional guest service by greeting and engaging each guest
- handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously
- pair guests with associates for makeup applications and product demonstrations
- book appointments and support in-store events
- maintain cashwrap displays and supplies for guest-readiness
- support leadership with register open and close functions and associate inspections
- ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty policies and procedures
- maintain outstanding store standards and cleanliness
- protect company assets and minimize loss
- assist in cashier training and cross-training associates
- share benefits of the loyalty program and create excitement for credit and loyalty goals
- regularly participate in training for brand and category education
- collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business
